This was inspired by a particularly badly written piece of fanfic.

This is what happens when you insert paranthetical author's notes into dialogue.

I particularly like panel two. I'm also rather proud of Inuyasha in panel four.

XD That's hilarious.

I understand where you're coming from, too. Author's notes /in the fanfic/ are so annoying! It isn't clever. Well, sometimes it is, but that's usually in humourous pieces, and it's a rare thing.

My fandom has fairly good fanfic. It's usually much better than in LotR or HP sections, at least; almost everybody has grammar that isn't too bad, etc. The sad thing is that... while almost all of them are fairly good...not a lot of them are wonderful. *Sigh*

Author's notes in the fanfic itself is totally unacceptable in anything other than a parody. That's how I look at it, anyway. I mean, just look at poor Naraku! He's supposed to be eeeeeeevil and he just looks like a whiney teeny-bopper. >_<

The sad thing is, in the fic I found this in, it wasn't an arrow. It was a broadsword. Manifested randomly from nowhere. That's like...uncanonical squared. Times pi. Yeah, something like that. *prods 'Suethor* She must've slept through half of the dubbed-for-TV episodes...that's the only explanation I can think of. >_<
