The only thing I hate worse than people who say "na-RU-to" are people who say "yowie". But Lychee's got the yaoi (That's Ya-Oh-Ee, not 'yowie' ) thing covered, or she will...one day...so I thought I'd give voice to my other pet peeve.
Listen up, loves: If you must put an emphasis somewhere in Naruto's name, emphasize the first syllable, not the second. It's NA-ru-to, not na-RU-to. Don't listen to the American dub. Everyone knows the voice actors aren't allowed to watch the original before they begin dubbing, so as to make it as far from 'good' as possible.
Don't do it for me. Do it for the kittens.
